• When there are 9 or more competitors in an event, we will have heats and a feature.

​

• All competitors will be randomly assigned a number for that specific heat.

​

• Heats will be run in multiple of 3 cars per heat (i.e.. 3,6,9,12,15)

​

• As the first 1/3 of the competitors pull to the track, they will draw two random numbers, these numbers will determine who that competitor is directly competing against for that heat. This will be known as your "pod".

​

 

This is where it gets exciting!

​

​

• Once the heat begins, the only way to advance to the feature is to eliminate both of the other members of your pod. Only one competitor from each pod will advance to the feature!

​

For example:

​

• 15 cars in a heat numbered 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15  

• 1,2 and 3 will pull to the track and choose two numbers each

​

• 1 pulls 9 and 7 

• 2 pulls 8 and 6 

• 3 pulls 14 and 11 

• 4 pulls 15 and 13

• 5 pulls 10 and 12

This will leave 5 competitors for the feature, only the ones who make it out of their pod in tact!

Why the Triple D Format?​

• Eliminates teaming/alliances

​

• Creates natural competition, forcing drivers to run against each other or face not making the feature

• This creates an event that highlights your personal driving talents and abilities rather than how many people you know or recruited to team up with you.

• Eliminates officials making subjective decisions 

  • Who’s sandbagging or teaming? Who do we throw out?​​

• We believe the drivers should decide the event on the track and that officials should not tell people how to drive. Without a format change, this was simply never possible.

• Creates entertainment for fans by creating a “product” instead of simply teaming up and taking other competitors out.

​

•  We all love when cars go after each other and try to take each other out; this already happens within every derby, so why not highlight this?

​

• Allows fans to make a personal investment in each heat, allows fans to root for underdogs, or follow their competitor closer.

• Creates invested interest, which in return will bring fans back to support the show

​

• Ensures fast-paced action-packed entertainment
